SUP is a founding member of the Open Institutional Publishing Association (OIPA). OIPA is a new community of practice for not-for-profit open access publishing at UK institutions.

SUP is a network member of Publishing Scotland, the network, trade and development body for the book publishing sector in Scotland.

Scottish Universities Press has joined Thoth Plus, a distribution service by Thoth Open Metadata, a non-profit, open metadata management and dissemination platform. Thoth Plus offers automated distribution solutions tailored to the needs of Open Access publishers, ensuring that publications reach a wider audience with ease. 

SUP is a member of the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA), a diverse community of organisations engaged in open scholarship. OASPA’s mission is to encourage and enable open access as the predominant model of communication for scholarly outputs.
